With a family history in the cleaning industry dating back to 1974, Jamie Scarrott established his own company in 1986, Clean Image, having spent many years in his father’s thriving business.
At first, Jamie concentrated on domestic and smaller commercial cleaning assignments to develop a customer base that would allow for further expansion. Soon he was handling contracts for leading firms such as Rover, Macro and Thomas Cook. Clean Image became a partnership in 1995 when Darren Blakeway joined the management team. Darren brought additional skills to the company helping it to go from strength to strength.
In 1999 Clean Image won a large retail contract with James Beattie Plc at their Wolverhampton store and we quickly established a firm working relationship with them. It wasn’t long before we acquired other stores in the group, eventually becoming the only cleaning contractor nationally for all their stores.
Our philosophy has been to develop procedures and practice that has resulted in a customer services programme that is second to none. It is no surprise that the retail arm of our business now boasts a portfolio that includes House of Fraser, Harvey Nichols, PC World, Curry’s, Poundland and various shopping centres, including the Arcadian Centre a large leisure complex in the heart of Birmingham.
Following ISO accreditations In 2011 our attention turned to the public sector where we now have successful long term contracts with Wyre Forest District Council, Newcastle under Lyme Borough Council, Stafford and Cannock Hospitals and many more.
Our intention is to make a measurable impact on each business with which we work and to build hands-on relationships that will last for years rather than months. By listening to the needs of our clients our own business has grown alongside them and we now offer a complete building maintenance and facilities service.
The cleaning of each location is unique to itself. Only by experience gained in a variety of environments can one hope to provide a quality service to the customer.
In early 2013 we recruited our Business Development manager Debbie Cox, who is now actively promoting our company in the market place.
